San Jose Airport Terminals

Terminal A is located at the northern end, and Terminal B is located at the southern end of SJC. You refer to the San Jose Airport terminals map for their exact location. On one side of the terminal are parking garages and terminal access roads, while on the other side are the runways.

Domestic and international aircraft, as well as all international arrivals, are processed through Terminal A. There are two separate structures and two floors that make up the terminal. You'll find the arrivals area and baggage claim on the lower level of the same building as the parking garage across Terminal Drive. Also located on this floor are a cafe, gift shop, and information desks.

Both local and international flights depart from Terminal B. (International arrivals are in Terminal A). You'll find the security checkpoint on the upper level, while ticketing and baggage claims are on the lower level.

How to get around the San Jose Airport Terminals

Shuttle buses operating on a complimentary basis circulate between the two Terminals A & B, the Rental Car Center, and Daily Lot 4. There is a shuttle service available every 7 to 10 minutes.

Security and customs in San Jose Airport

Terminal A and Terminal B have their own security checkpoints at SJC. The checkpoint at Terminal A opens at 3:45 am, while the checkpoint at Terminal B opens at 4 am. Both close at the time of the last departure.

How to get to San Jose Airport


  • From San Jose to Stockton, Ace Rail operates the Altamont Corridor Express. In addition, passengers may reach Santa Clara Caltrain Station from the airport by the VTA Airport Flyer bus.
  • The San Jose Diridon Station is the terminal for Amtrak A VTA Airport Flyer bus ride will get you to the Metro/Airport LRT Station, where you may transfer to the Green Line and ride to San Jose Diridon Station.
  • You may catch trains at the Milpitas BART Transit Center to Oakland and San Francisco. Then, catch the VTA Airport Flyer bus from the terminal to the bus station.
