Terminal Shuttle Buses, Walkways, etc. some of the options. The shuttle bus may not always be faster or more convenient than walking to your next terminal.
Through underground airside corridors, LAX Terminals 4 and 6 are connected to Terminal 5. You don't have to clear security again unless you're going to Terminals 1 through 3. Both of these terminals are connected to another terminal by airside walkways.
You can walk between LAX terminals on the sidewalks or take the complimentary clockwise-looping landside terminal shuttle bus.
P-5 AND P-6 are the most convenient parking spaces to park while using Terminal 5. P-5 has an EV Charging Station at 60L2 while P- 6 has EV Charging Stations at 114 L2 and 1 DCFC. The prices for onsite parking are $9 for the first hour and $7 for every additional thirty minutes after the first hour. The most that can be charged for a day is $60. (every 24 hours). LAX Economy parking is available in some lots. First hour is $8. Each 30 minutes after the first hour is $7and a maximum of $35 for each 24-hour period. Many off-site LAX parking spots close to the airport offer free shuttle service.
JetBlue, Spirit, some American Airlines flights, and the shuttle bus to the American Eagle terminal are now housed in Terminal 5.
Terminal 5 at Los Angeles International Airport has 15 boarding gates and operates with national and domestic airlines.
It is not essential to clear security a second time unless you are arriving on an international flight, as Terminals 5 and 6 are connected airside through an underground tunnel. They are also connected on the ground, though passengers leaving the terminal and exiting the secure area will have to cross security again to enter back.
There are fifteen gates in Terminal 5: 50A-50B, 51A-51B, 53A-53B, 54A-54B, 55A, 56-57, 58, and 59. Gates 52A-52I are at the American Eagle Terminal.
Yes, Terminal 5 at LAX does offer a dedicated TSA PreCheck lane for faster security checks. Customs clearance is mandatory for all international flights, and customs checks are located in a separate area of each international terminal.
Passengers may be picked up there outside of baggage claim on the lower level/arrivals level.
Use the 24-hour LAX Cell Phone Waiting Lot if you are picking up a passenger so that you can wait for free until the person calls to say they are ready to be picked up.
