LAX, or Los Angeles International Airport, is the city's primary airport. The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is a hub for transpacific services and one of the busiest airports in the world. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), a city department, owns and manages LAX and two other airports in Southern California, LA/Ontario International and Van Nuys (general aviation).
A $477.5 million project will extend Terminal 1 into a previously empty area. The first Terminal Vertical Core will connect the building to a walkway leading to the future CTA Center Automated People Mover Station. The new building also has a bus stop, more ticket counters, baggage carousels, restrooms, and a place for service animals to go to the bathroom.

The Departures Level in LAX Terminal 1 houses most of the shops, restaurants, services, and the hotel & private parking area. The Terminal 1 Arrivals Level provides access to LAX-it, FlyAway, and the Terminal Connector. The service animal relief station is on the Arrivals Level, as is an ATM, TSA Precheck, and Visitors Information center.
While Terminal 1 may seem to have comparatively fewer shops than Tom Bradley Terminal, there are several LAX Terminal 1 Stores and Shops you visit. These include

It's not easy to get from Terminal 1 to the other LAX terminals simply because Terminal 1 isn't connected directly to any of the other terminals. So, if you're changing flights, you'll have to leave the terminal and allow extra time to go through security at the next terminal. You can take a shuttle from the airport, or you can walk.
There are no lounges in LAX terminal 1. However, if you just want to put your feet up and relax, there is a Be Relax Spa on the Departures Level.
However, there are LAX Lounges in other terminals.
The most convenient lot for LAX Parking at Terminal 1 is P1. P1 offers both General Parking and Premium Parking.

Terminal 1's security checkpoint was upgraded as part of the airport's 15-year expansion and modernization plan. The checkpoint is open from 4 am to 11 pm daily. All passengers, including TSA Precheck passengers, can use this checkpoint.
This terminal also houses a TSA Precheck Enrolment Center located on level 1 of Terminal 1 in the baggage claim area.

If you don't want to spend too much time in security lines, we suggest enrolling either for TSA Precheck, CLEAR, or even both if you cannot decide which is better for you.
You'll find Information services on the Arrivals Level of Terminal 1. Operating hours are 6 am to 12 am.
There's no Travelers Aid Center here.
This terminal has no children's play areas.
Terminal 1's baby facilities are located near gate 10.

LAX Terminal does not have a duty free shopping area.
A designated smoking area is available curbside at LAX Terminal 1.
Southwest Airlines operates from Terminal 1 at Los Angeles Airport.
It has some domestic and some international flights.
People can be picked up on the lower level/arrivals level curb outside the baggage claim area. If you are going to pick up a passenger, please use the LAX Cell Phone Waiting Lot, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Only airline passengers and people who meet, travel with, or help them, as well as airport workers whose jobs require them to be there, are allowed to enter LAX. The airport is closed to the public around the clock, seven days a week.
You cannot walk from Terminal 1 to 7 at LAX; you will need to use the shuttle bus.
