Terminal 4, originally constructed in 1961, received an extension in 1983 consisting of a link between the original satellite and the ticketing areas. Terminals 4 will have a centralized departure hall and a new south concourse with more space for hold rooms, concessions, restrooms, and a bus gate as part of the $1.6 billion modernization project.

Transportation alternatives include terminal shuttle buses, walkways, and so on. Taking the shuttle bus to the next terminal might not always be the best option if you want to get there quickly.
Each subsequent terminal is connected to the next in the same way (so you won't have to go through security again), with Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 connected by an underground airside walkway.
Additionally, a moving sidewalk airside link bridge on level 5 connects Terminal 4 to International Terminal B, which also contains a security checkpoint for travellers arriving at Terminal 4 from the International Terminal. You won't have to go through security screening again if you are coming from Terminal 4 and entering International Terminal B.
The most convenient lots to park at for LAX Terminal 4 are the P-4 and P-5 Terminal parking lots. Onsite parking is comparatively more expensive than offsite parking.
