LAX Terminal 3 is the centerpiece of Delta Air Lines’ LAX operation and one of the most extensively rebuilt terminals. The modernized terminal also handles Aeroméxico check-in and security screening, as well as WestJet departures. If you’re flying Delta, Aeroméxico, or WestJet, here’s what to expect.

Terminal 3 is primarily a Delta terminal, but several other airlines use it for check-in or departures. Delta check-in, security screening, and boarding gates are all handled in Terminal 3.

Gates at Terminal 3 include: 30A, 30B, 31A, 31B, 32A, 32B, 33, 34A, 34B, 35, 36, 37A, 37B, and 38. Terminal 3 uses separate arrivals and departures levels. Ticketing and security facilities are on the Upper/Departures Level, while baggage claim and ground transportation are on the Lower/Arrivals Level. Terminal 3 originally opened in 1961, but very little of that original structure remains in daily use today. The terminal was rebuilt as part of Delta's Sky Way at LAX project, which was completed in 2023.
LAX offers several ways to travel between its terminals. Airside walkways connect the terminals, allowing ticketed passengers to move between them without leaving security. Travelers can also use the outdoor sidewalks to walk between terminals while outside the secure area. Terminal shuttle services provide another option for getting around the airport.
Terminal 3 connects with Terminal 2 via a post-security walkway and connects directly to the Tom Bradley International Terminal via the airside moving walkways completed in 2023. This TBIT connection is a meaningful upgrade for anyone connecting to or from an international flight. The connection eliminated the need for shuttle-bus transfers between Terminal 3 and Terminal B.

Gameway is a video game lounge and bar, a less typical airport amenity that’s become one of Terminal 3’s more distinctive features for travelers with time to spare before boarding.
Terminal 3 is home to Delta Sky Club and the Delta One Lounge.
This is Delta’s flagship Sky Club at LAX with an outdoor terrace. Access follows standard Delta Sky Club rules and depends on your ticket, airline status, membership, or other eligibility rules. Located off the walkway between Terminal 2 and 3, the club features an indoor/outdoor double bar, Sky Deck, and premium showers, as well as stunning views of the Hollywood Hills. The Sky Club operates daily at Terminal 3 from 4:15 am to 12:30 am.
The Delta One Lounge at LAX Airport Terminal 3 is located across from the food court and is open daily from 4:15 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Delta says the lounge offers premium dining, fresh sushi and bento boxes, an outdoor terrace, nap pods, massage chairs, personal-care products, and shower suites. Memberships to access the Delta One Lounge are not available for purchase. Delta Sky Club membership and qualifying credit cards do not provide access to the Delta One Lounge.
The Delta One Lounge is available to same-day Delta One passengers, Delta 360° members flying Delta First Class that day, and eligible premium-cabin passengers on partner flights such as Air France La Première and Business, KLM Business Class, Korean Air First and Prestige Class, LATAM Premium Business, and Virgin Atlantic Upper Class.
Terminal 3 has a dedicated nursing room for traveling parents located near Gate 33. Similarly, Terminal 3 has a designated service animal and pet relief area located near Gate 33.
Parents with longer connections can also use family facilities in other LAX terminals when their route allows them to move between terminals. Passengers traveling with service animals should follow their airline’s procedures and use the airport’s designated relief facilities.

Terminal 3 sits within LAX’s Central Terminal Area, where several airport parking structures serve travelers throughout the terminal loop.
You don’t need to choose a parking facility solely because your flight leaves from Terminal 3. Travelers can compare onsite and offsite LAX Airport parking based on price, distance, shuttle service, and reservation availability.
